Hi Yaz,
If you've synced with iPhoto, you can export your tag info back to iPhoto via the File menu > "Export Tags to iPhoto".
Ultimately we want the work you do tagging to stay with your photos and be portable to any software or website you choose to use
Eventually we want to embed your tags as IPTC keywords to the actual photos. iPhoto, Flickr, and many other photo services already support IPTC keywords, and I think as tagging photos becomes more popular, it will likely be the standard way to store this info.
Hope this helps and thanks for your feedback.
Hi Cory,
I just exported the tags back to iPhoto (09). How can I view them? I was hoping they might integrate with the "faces" function in the latest iPhoto but I understand that might be a big ask. However, I can't seem to find them anywhere.
Steve
Hi Steven,
To view your exported tags, simply use the search area and type in the people/tags you're looking for.
You can also see the tags if you select "View > Keywords" from the menu.
Unfortunately, iPhoto has locked down the ability to for us to integrate with the Faces section (amongst many other things they lock down).
Let me know how it works for you.
Is there any way to get my photo, with face tagged keywords, to export to other programs with the same information ready to use. For example, if I take the time and effort to tag my photos and then want to create an album in picasa or iphoto containing just hte photo of the person i tagged, how would i get those photos off of ilovephotos and over to another program while keeping the tagged information somewhere in the iptc keyword data?
